This is a curious and non-aggressive North American species that will live and grow in a modest sized enclosure. Requiring room temperature, a shallow water dish, and a hiding spot, they’re easy pets to keep. Captive reproduction is common and females will lay their eggs in small silk cocoons.

Jumping spiders don’t spin webs, and will instead chase down and eat crickets and waxworms. Your spider will attain an adult lerspan of around 1-inch at maturity. Many hobbyists regularly handle this spider due to its calm demeanor.
