Your European Praying mantis egg case (called an “ooth”) will produce many of both sexes. The ooth can be refrigerated until you would like them to hatch. All that is necessary for the eggs to hatch is room temperature for three to eight weeks. Once the babies emerge (at about 1/4″ in length), they can be fed fruit flies and pinhead crickets. They make for very entertaining and docile pets, and excellent feeders.
